Just a bit of background info, Soi means ‘side street’ in Thai. Soi 6 is one of Pattaya’s most famous 'Sois' and runs from South Pattaya Road (Pattaya Sai Song Road) to the entrance of Beach Road.

Soi 6 Pattaya has a bit of everything for everyone, whether you're looking to just have a good time or indulge in some naughty activities. It’s one of those places that you can just walk along the street and explore, it has bars with ladies ready and waiting to entertain you.
There's a couple of go-go bars but mostly just the run of the mill beer bars, shops, food, money exchange, a couple of pharmacies and more. Soi 6 is best known for the bars because the street is 90% bars.
The reason why Soi 6 is so popular is that it offers a very unique experience. You can find anything from ladyboys to massage parlors and everything in between. It's a great place for those who want to explore the nightlife of Pattaya, or just have a good time with friends. Plus, it’s relatively safe compared to other parts of Pattaya - but it pays to still be cautious.
Most bars have rooms upstairs if you want to take a girl for short time. The drinks on Soi 6 are at normal bar prices expected in most places in Pattaya, including the lady drinks.
Most of the bars are staffed by ladies, although there are some with ladyboys and others that only employ ladyboys.
It is best to approach Soi 6 with an open mind, as it can be both loved and reviled depending on the individual. Some people love it for its wild atmosphere while others may find it too seedy or dangerous. There are also plenty of scams to watch out for when visiting Soi 6, so it’s important to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Despite this, Soi 6 remains one of Pattaya's most popular attractions.

When is the Best Time to Visit Soi 6?
The best time to visit Soi 6 is during the early evening when the bars start to open. This is usually around 7 pm and it’s when most of the action starts. From then on, it gets busier and more crowded until late in the night (around 2 am). Keep in mind some bars might stay open longer, and it's changing all the time regarding restrictions around covid. For the most part, it's in full swing in 2023.
The atmosphere during this time is electric and you can feel the energy of all those around you. It’s a great place to just walk around and observe the goings-on, or even join in.
What is the Best Soi In Pattaya?
The best Soi in Pattaya really depends on what you’re looking for. Soi 6 is definitely the most popular due to the highest concentration of ladies, but there are other great options such as Soi Buakhao which has a wide variety of bars and clubs to choose from. Other notable Sois include Walking Street, LK Metro, and more.
Restaurants on Soi 6
One of my favorite places to eat is the Queen Victoria Inn. It's a British-style pub located across from Foxy and Roxy Bar and it's also a hotel.
You must try the buffet. It's priced fair and is oh-so-good.
If you are looking for something less traditional and more relaxed, the Sandman Sports Bar and Restaurant is a good choice.
If you like Pizza, Mama's Cafe is great. They've got Italian food, cocktails, Ice Cream, and more. Maybe a good place to bring a girl you just bar fined?
Hotels on Soi 6
If having a good night's sleep is important to you, don't stay on Soi 6. If you must, the Kyo House isn't a bad place but you will likely hear the street noise with music and screaming Thai girls well into the morning. During high season, rooms cost between 800 and 1200 Thai Baht a night.
For something a little classier, the Queen Victoria Inn is a great option. You can still expect to hear noise from your room during the wee hours of the night though.
